TB Alliance is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the discovery, development and delivery of better, faster-acting and affordable tuberculosis drugs that are available to those who need them. We are seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist/Manager who desires a unique part-time opportunity to apply their relevant experiences to a small, results-oriented global health organization with a strong track record and a big mission. This is a remote long-term contractual role with a highly flexible schedule.
The contracts specialist/manager will initiate and coordinate a wide range of agreements, within standard contracting procedures, and manage the execution of a large volume of agreements annually with a wide array of third parties including clinical research organizations, clinical trial sites, laboratories, universities, service delivery partners, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, and professional services firms.
The successful candidate will have extensive relevant experience, likely in the pharmaceutical industry or scientific research sector, with working knowledge of discovery, pre-clinical, and/or clinical development agreements, covering a wide range of contract types ranging in complexity from master agreements and statements of work to confidentiality disclosure agreements. Additionally, the candidate will have experience working with a broad array of external parties in many countries, including developing countries. Lastly, the candidate must be highly proficient with learning and managing a contract lifecycle management system and digital signature products, as well as highly proficient in all MS Office and Adobe Acrobat software.
TB Alliance is a product development partnership (PDP) with a successful track record accelerating the development and adoption of urgently needed new anti-tuberculosis (TB) drugs. With an annual operating budget of approximately $100 million, including ~$45M in negotiated indirect funding, TB Alliance leads the advancement of the most comprehensive portfolio of TB drug candidates in history.
Currently, a portfolio of more than twenty spans target validation to Phase III clinical development is being advanced. Equally important is the TB Alliance success in delivering new drug regimens to patients, including driving regulatory approval, commercialization through pharmaceutical partners, country adoption of new regimens, and widespread availability. The transformative BPaLM regimen is approved by regulatory agencies in 28 countries and available in more than 150 countries worldwide.
TB Alliance is the only not-for-profit drug developer to develop a new chemical entity (NCE) for tuberculosis treatment from discovery through to patients and is a recipient of the Prix Galien award for this achievement. Lastly, the TB Alliance leverages its drug discovery and development capabilities as well as its’ scientific assets in adjacent disease areas, where an unmet need exists, such as leprosy and Buruli ulcer.
Compensation is expected to be in the range of $90-$115 per hour, and will be commensurate with skills and experience.
