Today marked the launch of the TB Elimination Caucus in the United States House of Representatives. The launch gathered a significant attention on the Hill.
Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), Rep. Gene Green (D-TX) and Rep. Don Young (R-AK) all gave remarks and spoke extensively with the substantial audience of global health stakeholders and Congressional staffers in attendence. All three Congressmen spoke of their strong interest in seeing US-funded work on TB continue and had a expressed optimism that of greater support for this issue could be generated in Congress. All in all, a great kick off for the Caucus!
