Workshop on the Role of Fluoroquinolones for Tuberculosis Treatment

A workshop on the role of fluoroquinolones for treating TB took place in Bethesda, Maryland, on April 23-24, 2001.

Bringing together investigators involved in all phases of TB drug development, the workshop explored strategic options for the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development regarding the evaluation of fluoroquinolones for TB treatment and prevention.

Organized by Dr. Barbara E. Laughon and Dr. Richard J. O'Brien, the event was hosted by the TB Alliance together with the U.S. National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the Division of TB Elimination of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
