After three and a half years of dedicated service as the Director of Advocacy and Public Affairs at the TB Alliance, Joelle Tanguy begins a new venture in global health as Managing Director of the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS.
“Joelle’s indefatigable work in pursuit of novel therapeutics to help all TB patients worldwide has been a source of inspiration and guidance for the TB Alliance ” said Maria C. Freire, Ph.D., President and CEO. “In this new venture, she continues a tradition of public-private engagement for a cause very close to our own and we look forward to working with her in the future.”
During Joelle’s tenure, the TB Alliance published the widely-cited Economics Report on TB Drug Development, established new informational resources, including the current website, and finetuned the Triple A strategy of “affordability, access and adoption” to ensure the use of its end products.
The TB Alliance is grateful to Joelle for her substantial contributions to its programmatic activities during its formative years. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
