Welcome to Innovate TB!

On World TB Day, the Stop TB Partnership Working Group on New TB Drugs (WGND) announces the InnovateTB Media Contest to encourage innovation to achieve zero deaths from TB in this generation.

We are inviting interested participants to take two simple steps:

  1. Choose a video (can be existing or new that is 2 mins or less), photo series with captions (3-5 photos), or written account (less than 500 words) about an innovative tool, procedure or program that aims to decrease TB in the world. This can be your own or one that has impacted you directly.
  2. Submit your entry as follows

    VIDEO

    Fill out the Submit an entry form and include a YouTube or Vimeo link;

    PHOTO SERIES OR WRITTEN ACCOUNT
    Fill out the Submit an entry form. For photos, either upload your zipped file or input a link. For Written Accounts upload your doc, docx, pdf or txt file.

For additional details, see frequently asked questions.

Submissions are encouraged from any person or organization who wants zero deaths from tuberculosis. All entries will be posted on the InnovateTB webpage. At the close of submissions, the general public will be invited to vote for their favorites. The top vote-getters will be reviewed by an expert panel of representatives from InnovateTB stakeholder groups. The winning entry will be judged on the overall message, relevance to the theme, and creativity by an expert panel comprised of InnovateTB stakeholders.

The winner will be featured heavily in WGND publications and InTB’s channels, including web and social media. This will include featured blog posts, interviews, and recognition in an InTB video. We will also publicize the winner through our partner network.

“We are beginning to see the winds of change, but what we really need is a storm. It is imperative that we transform the way we diagnose, treat, prevent, and control TB — through biomedical research and public health measures…” Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases

The deadline for entries is midnight Eastern Time on Saturday, May 26, 2012.

Check back over the coming weeks to see the latest entries – we will post them regularly. We look forward to seeing your TB Innovations!
