Commission on Intellectual Property Releases Final Report

The Commission on Intellectual Property Rights, published its final report: “Integrating Intellectual Property Rights and Development Policy.”

The report recommends that WTO rules on intellectual property be made more flexible so that developing nations can adopt rules at their own pace. The report cited the TB Alliance’s Economics Report.

Operating out of the United Kingdom DFID office, CIPR’s mission is to “take greater account of the interests of developing countries and poor people” in the evolution of intellectual property.
